A Birthday Post

Today is my birthday, i am a whole 46 years old, some may say still young and others will see an old lady, but i still see a young person trapped in a body that doesnt work, its a good day,  i was left to sleep until i was ready to wake up which was nice, i have a beautiful card and gifts from my adopted mum, she is a star, i dont know what i would do without her, and no she didnt adopt me, i adopted her, she is my best friend and craft buddy too, so excitement number one, then a beautiful die set from my boys, which i adore, and then the person sending the die set had been ill, and was having to delay the dies which worried me so i emailed her and said that the dies were a present from my boys and i usually only get the one gift which is the one from them, so i was worried it wouldnt turn up, i was really stressed as my boys are autistic and they know that usually they are the only ones to get me a gift. all of which is usually accurate however this year i have had another surpris...

A Very Busy Weekend

Image
Other than sleeping which at the moment seems to be my favourite pastime, i have been very busy this weekend,  New dies arrived Pictures above, photos of the lovely boxes will be coming soon, but my busy part has been the delivery of about 50 boxes and over 100 cards to our local Age Concern shop, 36 were like the little brown boxes but white all ready for their glitz and glamour evening event in 2 weeks time, and yes i do mean more photos of boxes are to come, its not just these little brown ones, although they look plain here they can be so different with the additional bits and decorative pieces that are available to add to them but we also have what are lovingly called spikes by the boys (unicorn horns for the girls) which will be awesome for christmas, planning to make loads of these for the christmas period, which brings me to my next part, have changed the name of my facebook page to Cards for Community, not much of a change i know, but enough to make it show ...

A long awaited arrival

Image
Theyre finally here, im sure someone out there will know what i mean when you order something and its delayed for whatever reason and youre just sat there patiently waiting for something to turn up, and you sit and wait but deep down youre really fed up but because theres a good reason for the delay you cant shout and stamp your feet and demand a solution, well you could but i doubt it would get you anywhere. the easel cards shown here are from an order made 2 months ago, logistics held everything up, but i dont blame the company i bought it from, i adore the new cards, the toppers are a whole different matter, not only are they an early birthday gift from my boys, but i only ordered them on monday, and they arrived bright and early yesterday, and im already really happy with them, and this is just a small selection of what is available. The red and black card has a little bit missing, i plan to add a photograph to the front too, its of my friend who sadly passed away re...

Which idiot forgot to add the follow button

Image
So, i have been doing this for a couple of days now, and i wondered why there were a few messages but no one following it, as i had lots of people ask me about it, and apparently you need to add the follow button. for someone who can pull apart a computer and fix it, when the fibro fog allows at least i didn't think to look at whether i had put a button on the page. People wonder why i say i'm not really able to work at the moment, they don't see the sleepy me, or the in too much pain to leave the bedroom me, so as far as they can see which is the good days when i can leave the house and am strong enough to hide how i feel, put on the mask and go and pretend to be a human being, and its little things like this, not realising bits haven't been done, missing bits because the medication i take tends to leave me in a fuzzy state or just half awake most of the time, and remembering things which i find so funny, i can remember things from years ago but half the time i cant ...

Positivity one of the things i enjoy most is making positivity books, i use everything i can find in this big wide web and use all of my scrapbook resources to make some uplifting pages, i usually give them to friends especially as i am a member of some Fibromyalgia support groups, and sometimes you just need that little extra push or reminder to get up and get on, and sometimes it may just be the get up that happens but hey, we should all judge our achievements differently, what is an amazing achievement for me might be something you do every day, like making it through a day without a nap or two, or even getting up and getting dressed, it all depends on how well i feel that day, there is so much talk about how FAKE fibromyalgia is, and fair enough, i used to think it wasnt as bad as it sounded, i mean, my friend who had it seemed to get so much done, and the childminder who had it was still an amazing child minder so when i was diagnosed finally i sat...

Hi All, Not only did I finish the 2 crackers for the set of 6, which I adore, I managed a couple more to add to the box for gifts, no idea what I will put in them, didn’t think that far ahead, but I have them ready to go, so it’s a start. I also made a pair of Halloween ones, to match my Polkadoodles pumpkin, which I am sure will hang in my window this year, I went off upstairs thinking I would probably fall fast asleep but I was wide awake, so I started cutting the dies, and before I knew it was 5am, it’s amazing how much time slips away, only downside is moving around after so long, and because I took my medication before I started I didn’t feel much whilst I was working, but the moment I moved I knew it, so I had to waddle off to the bathroom and waddle back, and try and sleep, because I knew I was up at 9:30 to take over from my son, he helps my youngest get up and ready for school, and he can be a bit of a pain getting up and dressed, Our house is somewh...
